ATLANTA - - The physically-integrated (dancers with and without disabilities) modern dance company Full Radius Dance returns to 7 Stages (1105 Euclid Avenue, NE in Atlanta, Georgia) on December 5 and 6, 2008 for The Full Radius Dance Holiday Spectacular. The company will be in performance each evening at 8:00 PM, along with a Saturday matinee at 2:00 PM.
The Holiday Spectacular is a fun, family-friendly performance inspired by the celebrity-hosted Christmas shows of TV’s past – Bing Crosby, Andy Williams, etc. Included on the program are revivals of A Nutcracker Sweet, an oh-so-cool big-band version of the famous ballet music, and Fluff, a light-as-air romp through 60's pop songs.
The concert will also feature two premieres: Winter, loosely inspired by a quintet of Norse Gods and incorporating aerial work, and Sacred, which looks at the sacredness of nature, of religious experience, and of human touch.
Full Radius Dance is pleased to announce that The Von Krapp Family Singers, fresh from their world tour, will once again appear as our special guests. The campy, joyous vocals of Barry, Mary, Larry, Carrie, Jerry and Shaneekwa Von Krapp are sure to delight audiences.
Tickets for the performances are $15.00 for Adults and $12.00 for Children 12 & under, Seniors 55 & over, and working artists. For groups of 10 or more, tickets are only $8.00. Group tickets must be pre-purchased.
